Field Experience: Wild Rose State Fish Hatchery

Cost: Only $2 per student (Transportation fees are generously covered by Apvion in recognition of FRA parent Carl Vogel’s years of service to the company and the Fox Trackers Scrip Sales. The bus fee would have been an additional $6.00 per student without these donations. Please consider purchasing scrip to keep these trips affordable.)

Please send your child with a bag lunch and water bottle. Dress for extended outdoor activities!!

The purpose of the trip is to learn about the life cycles, including hatching and rearing, of Wisconsin fish, particularly Lake Sturgeon. This is in preparation for the sturgeon habitat learning lab that is being created for FRA students and others at FREEA. Students will also have the opportunity participate in winter outdoor recreation. Activities may include tubing and ice skating.
