DNR Fish Biologists will be on hand to survey fish in the Fox River. Parents and students that are interested may attend. Staff may not be on hand the entire day so children need to be supervised by their parents. This is not a drop off your child event - Parents need to be present.
A brief schedule for the day:
9:00am-9:30am: DNR fisheries staff meet the students at the FREEA dock to show them the boat equipment and discuss the survey intent
9:30-10:30am: DNR fisheries staff sample station 1 on the river
10:30am-11:30am: DNR fisheries staff bring in the fish sampled for processing and discuss the initial survey with students
11:30am-12:30pm: DNR fisheries staff leave dock and sample station 2 on the river
12:30pm-1:00pm: DNR fisheries staff bring fish sampled for processing and wrap up with students
